LT -- Thanks for weighing in. I definitely appreciate your voice, as someone who is actively engaged in the hard work of racial reconciliation in Philly. I will post any updates I hear about, and keep looking for ways to move beyond conversation and into gracious, incarnational action.

Thanks for keeping us engaged in how race still matters.

We simply don't speak enough about race in this country. People are currently very optimistic about race these days. I don't know how people can believe we live in post-racial times when there are clearly so many offenses still being committed against ethnic groups everywhere. If we do live in a post-racial society then we really cannot tolerate such offenses and must speak out about them. Christians cannot be silent or still when they witness people devalued and dehumanized.

Those in Christ must work hard to move towards racial reconciliation and take it far beyond mere conversation. We need to blaze a path towards the future of the kingdom come. It starts with having our eyes opened to the reality of things now.

The goal for the church and calling for believers is not to look more diverse but to move into the neighborhood, step into the darkness and offer grace.

Keep us updated Dan.

Wayne -- Thanks for the encouragement. It's hard to keep going when there's lots of ignorance and apathy going around, so I appreciate your words :)
