Chris -- It has been incredibly encouraging to hear your story. Thanks for stopping by and sharing here. That word -- sustainability -- is speaking deeply into where I'm at right now. Yes, it would be amazing to sit down and break bread together!

LT -- Good to hear from you. Right now, I'm trying to work my way through about 40 pages of a lecture Guder delivered recently -- I feel like I'm basically highlighting every sentence because there's so much good stuff in there. It definitely feels crazy at times, but it's good to know we're not alone! Let me know how your story is progressing, because I feel like our community could learn a lot from what you're doing.

great post! right where i am too...i'm so with you man. guder is key to my understanding of church and ministry. i wish it didn't have to come down to a money issue which leads to a faith issue sometimes when it is a worthy missional thing that i'd like to work out in my life. we've got to be crazy to be doing this thing but then again that's what it takes. 1 Cor 1:26...God be with you bro.

Daniel,

Having started this bi-vocational journey about ten years ago one of the main components of sustainability is brotherhood and sisterhood, the community of God's people in submission to the King encouraging each other. Its War, no longer a profession, which is at times exhilirating and other times frightening. But not once have we been w/out daily bread and not once alone w/out the community of God around us. In this I offer you not a vocation or a job, but the invitation of brotherhood in arms against a common enemy. Glad to have met you virtually, someday perhaps we can share a meal together.
