Linking straight to MP3s is usually considered poor internet etiquette because people would be downloading the songs from us- using our bandwidth without any additional hits to our site and the chance for us to find a few new readers. In our case we’re doing fine on bandwidth so it’s no big deal but it’s always nice to get credit.
As for using blogger, when we started we didn’t want to pay money for a host so we used blogger because it was free. Now that we have a host we haven’t switched because I think we would lose the archive.
